What does this mean for current customers?

In the short term nothing will change. Your support will still led by Kevin and the team. Issues can still be reported either by email or phone (whichever suits best). In the longer term, this buy-out gives the development team the autonomy and ownership they felt was necessary in order to push the product on another stage.
